Sound & video
The speakers or headphones used by apps. Changing this also moves already-playing audio to the new device.
The microphone used by apps that record audio. Already-active recordings are moved to the new device.
Used by Camera and any other app that asks for a webcam.
The panel also auto-rescans every 5 seconds while it's open, so newly-plugged USB headsets and webcams appear without a reload.
Network
Advanced Wi‑Fi and IPv4 controls use NetworkManager (nmcli) on Linux. Other platforms show status only.

Language & region
Pick the language Ollie System uses, your keyboard layout, and how dates, times, and units are displayed. Changing the system language takes effect on next sign-in; the formatting preferences apply immediately to any Ollie app that reads them.
Heads up: changing the system language updates dates, times, sort order, and Linux system text. The Ollie apps themselves are currently English-only — full UI translations (Portuguese, Spanish, and others) are planned for a future update.
Changing the system language requires Linux and localectl. On other platforms only the formatting preferences are editable.
The language used for menus, dialogs, and dates across the desktop. Picking a language that isn't installed yet will generate it (you may be prompted for an administrator password).

Display
Choose resolution for each connected monitor. If your panel supports 1920×1080 but it is not listed, check Drivers for a recommended graphics driver, then reboot.
Drivers
Detect connected hardware and the driver packages recommended for it. Installing or switching a driver requires a reboot to take effect and may prompt for an administrator password.
Applications
Install local .deb files with dependency resolution, manage installed packages, and pick which application handles each kind of content. Installing and removing packages may prompt for an administrator password. System updates have moved to Security.

Security
System updates, firewall, screen lock, disk encryption, and on-demand antivirus. Some actions prompt for an administrator password.
"Update system" runs apt update then apt upgrade in one go — refreshes package lists and installs all available upgrades.
Checks daily and installs Ubuntu Security Notices without prompting. Recommended.
Blanks and locks the screen after a period of inactivity.
Block unsolicited incoming connections. Enabling or changing rules may ask for an administrator password.
Firewall controls are not available in this environment.
